Trade Payment Data

Read the sample before the signal.

Payment behaviour adds a different kind of evidence to a credit review. Its value depends on which invoices are represented, when they were observed and what the source discloses.

01

Sample size

How many invoice experiences support the view? A small or concentrated sample needs context.

02

Invoice ageing

Read the available payment-age bands against the terms and dates supplied by the contributor.

03

Source & period

Identify the contributing source and observation period. A report generation date alone does not establish freshness.

Questions, answered

Trade Payment Data.
In detail.

01

What is trade payment data?

Trade payment data describes invoice payment experiences supplied by contributing partners. Depending on the source, it can include sample size, invoice values and payment-age bands. It adds payment behaviour context to a business credit review.

02

Where does your trade payment information come from?

Payment experiences come from selected third-party partners. They are distinct from government registry filings and filed company accounts. Confirm the source and scope of the payment fields available for your companies.

03

What does the sample on this page show?

The anonymised historical report shows 103 invoices available and an average invoice value of £749. It was generated on 23 June 2026. Those figures describe the available sample; they do not establish a current payment performance rate.

04

Does payment data cover every invoice a company receives?

No. Contributing sources provide a sample. Invoice coverage, contributing businesses and observation periods can differ. An absence of reported overdue invoices does not prove that every invoice was paid on time.

05

What are invoice ageing bands?

They group the available payment experiences by the age categories supplied by the source. Our example lists within terms, 0–30 days, 31–60 days, 61–90 days and 91+ days. Read the source definition before interpreting a band as days overdue.

06

Is days beyond terms the same as payment history?

Days beyond terms is one possible measure of payment delay against agreed terms. Payment history is broader. A days-beyond-terms value requires suitable dates, terms and a defined calculation; it is not derived on this page.

07

How current is business payment history?

Check the payment observation period and update information where supplied. The date a report is generated can differ from the dates covered by the payment experiences. Confirm refresh timing for your intended markets.

08

Is payment data available in every country?

Coverage varies by country, company and contributing source. Ask for a coverage review against your target entities and required payment fields before setting procurement or credit policy.

09

Can we access trade payment data through an API?

Discuss payment fields in supported Credit Report API responses and agreed data feeds with our team. Platform access and supported MCP tools can also form part of the service. Confirm field-level coverage and permissions rather than assuming identical functionality across delivery methods.

10

Should payment history determine the credit decision on its own?

Review it alongside the correct legal entity, available financials, the dated credit assessment, legal records and your total exposure. Your team sets the terms, approved limits and review process.
