01

Where can I find a company’s financial statements?

Start with the correct legal name, registration number and country. Company accounts may be filed with a business registry, while listed-company reports may also appear through securities regulators, exchanges or investor-relations websites. Business Credit Reports brings available company financials into a structured view. Search for a company.

02

How do I find private company financial statements?

Identify the private company and its country of registration, then check the available statutory accounts. Disclosure differs by market, company size and filing regime. A private company may publish a full set of accounts, a limited balance sheet, or no public financial statements. Explore official sources by country.

03

Do you cover private and public company financials?

Yes. Business Credit Reports provides financial data for private and publicly listed companies, where disclosed. Available fields, document access and historical depth are confirmed for the relevant company and market. A company record in the wider database does not guarantee a complete set of financial statements.

04

What financial statements are included?

Available data can include an income statement, balance sheet, cash-flow statement and financial ratios. The income statement describes performance over a period; the balance sheet describes assets, liabilities and equity at a date; the cash-flow statement describes cash movements. Some filings omit one or more statements.

05

How much financial history is available?

Up to 20 years of filing history is available in supported markets. The actual periods depend on company age, public disclosure and source availability. Compare consistent period lengths and check restatements or changes in the accounts basis before treating a series as like-for-like.

06

Can I find revenue for every private company?

No. Revenue is available when it is disclosed in the accessible statements. For example, qualifying UK small companies and micro-entities can omit the profit and loss account from their public Companies House filing. Many US private companies are not SEC reporting companies. Missing revenue should stay unavailable. Companies House guidance · SEC company-information guidance.

07

How do I compare financial statements across countries?

Check currency, units, period end, period length, accounting standards and whether the accounts are consolidated. Standardised line items make records easier to analyse, but differences in accounting policy and reporting scope still matter. Document currency conversions separately from the original figures.

08

Are company accounts the same as a group’s financial statements?

Entity-level accounts describe one legal company. Consolidated accounts describe a group and include consolidation adjustments. A parent’s consolidated revenue should not be attributed to each subsidiary, and adding entity accounts together can double-count internal transactions. Review the scope that matches your counterparty.

09

How do I check how current the financials are?

Read the financial period end and filing date alongside the data or report date. Recently retrieved accounts can still describe an older financial period. The example on this page deliberately shows its 2024 period end, 2025 filing date and 2026 report date separately. Source schedules determine when new filings become available.

10

Can we access company financial statements through an API or MCP?

Yes. Business Credit Reports offers company financials through its APIs and MCP tools for compatible AI assistants. Bulk data and platform access are also available. Share your company list, required fields, history, refresh needs and intended use so the team can confirm coverage and commercial terms. Discuss financial data access.
