1. What this policy covers
Cookies, local storage and similar technologies can store or access information on your device. This policy describes the Business Credit Reports website, operated by Global Data Intelligence Limited. Our other sites and linked third-party services can use different technologies and have separate policies.
2. Technologies used on this website
| Item | Purpose and provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|
bcr_privacy_choice_v1First-party local storage | Remembers whether you allow optional visit analytics and marketing attribution, and the policy version and time of your choice. Used only to apply your privacy preference. | 180 days; removable at any time |
| Hosting security or sign-in state, where needed | The hosting provider may use strictly necessary technology to protect the website or recognise a requested authenticated session. The public site does not require sign-in to read policies or make a privacy request. | According to the security challenge or authenticated session; no advertising purpose |
| Optional Google Analytics 4 | Google Analytics is supported only where configured and after your choice. Advertising pixels, personalised advertising, session replay and HubSpot tracking scripts are not used. | Google Analytics cookies such as _ga and its property-specific variant are configured for up to 180 days when analytics is active. They are cleared on refusal or withdrawal. |
Fonts, public images and videos are served with the website. Sales forms are sent to our server, which forwards the enquiry to HubSpot; loading the form does not load a HubSpot tracking script. We do not read a HubSpot visitor cookie for these submissions.
3. Optional marketing attribution
If you allow marketing attribution, an advertising click reference present in the URL when you submit a sales form may be included with that enquiry. These references can include Google, Microsoft, Meta or LinkedIn click identifiers. This helps us connect an enquiry to the advertisement that brought it here. It does not load advertising scripts or automatically subscribe you to marketing.
If you decline or have not chosen, advertising click identifiers are removed from the form payload. Ordinary campaign labels, such as campaign name and source, and the referring site/path may still accompany a form you submit for first-party enquiry analysis; they are not saved in a cross-page tracking cookie. Please do not put personal information in campaign labels.
4. Optional visit analytics
Where a valid production Google Analytics 4 configuration is enabled, we load its tag only after you allow analytics. It measures page visits, broad campaign sources, calls to action and confirmed successful enquiries. Advertising storage, advertising user data and personalised advertising remain disabled. We send the page path and referrer origin; our events exclude enquiry values, email addresses, phone numbers, company search terms, registration identifiers and submission references.
Google receives technical and usage information through the Analytics service. You can refuse without losing access and can withdraw through privacy settings. The analytics disable flag is applied and relevant first-party analytics cookies are cleared on withdrawal. Earlier lawfully collected information is not automatically erased by changing a cookie setting. See Google’s privacy notice and our website privacy notice for recipients and international processing.
5. How to change your choice
to allow or refuse optional visit analytics and marketing attribution separately. "Essential only" and an equally prominent optional-consent choice are both available without a preselected opt-in. Browsing, scrolling or closing settings is not consent.
Your selection applies to this browser. You can withdraw consent as easily as you give it. Withdrawal stops optional identifiers being included in later submissions; it does not reverse processing lawfully completed earlier. If storage is unavailable, the site defaults to essential operation and any choice lasts only for the current page.
6. Browser controls
A Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a refusal of optional analytics and marketing attribution for this browser, even if an earlier stored choice allowed it. Clear browser storage to remove the saved preference. Browser cookie controls may affect security or sign-in features. A browser signal alone may not identify a separate company-database record; use Your privacy choices for that request.
7. Changes and further information
We will update this inventory and obtain any further choice required before introducing a new optional browser technology or a materially different purpose. Read the website privacy notice for controllers, recipients, international processing, retention and your rights. Contact the Privacy Team through the privacy request page.
