1. Scope
This policy supplements the terms and the licence agreed with Global Data Intelligence Limited. A signed agreement or Order takes precedence where it expressly grants a use addressed here. Restrictions do not remove statutory rights or rights you independently hold in public facts or source material.
2. Permitted business use
Within your licence, use company information for lawful company research, customer and supplier review, commercial credit assessment, corporate ownership analysis, enrichment and other agreed purposes. Keep source context and dates, secure the data, limit access to authorised people and avoid presenting uncertain matches as verified facts.
Authorised API calls, MCP queries and agreed bulk delivery are permitted routes. Their presence on the website does not grant unlimited volume or rights to share data externally.
3. Extended licensing
Resale, product embedding, external redistribution, customer-facing applications, bulk replication, model training and other derivative uses can be agreed commercially. The Order must define the data, audience, permitted transformation, downstream distribution, attribution, retention and any source restrictions. Do not assume that buying a report or an API subscription includes those rights.
Retention of paid reports and extracts for internal audit and business records follows the terms or Order. Any continued use remains subject to privacy, confidentiality and correction or suppression duties.
4. Prohibited conduct
- Illegal activity, fraud, impersonation, harassment, discrimination or surveillance that infringes people’s rights.
- Unlicensed resale, publication, sublicensing or construction of a substitute service using protected data or database extracts.
- Unauthorised scraping, systematic browser extraction, credential sharing, or bypassing rate, volume or access limits.
- Malware, disruptive traffic, unauthorised security testing or attempts to obtain another customer’s information.
- Removing material source, licensing or proprietary notices, or misleading others about our endorsement or the age and meaning of information.
- Using the services for personal credit, employment, housing, insurance or another regulated individual eligibility decision without an expressly authorised and lawful service for that use.
- Use in violation of applicable sanctions, export controls, privacy law or source-specific restrictions notified for the dataset.
5. Personal data and outreach
You must determine a lawful basis, provide notices, respect objections and suppression, and apply appropriate safeguards when using personal data. Publicly available professional information is still subject to relevant privacy rules. The licence does not supply consent for electronic marketing.
Marketing rules can differ for corporate recipients, sole traders and individuals, and across countries. Do not claim that one of our records makes all outreach lawful. We may require you to implement relevant corrections, restrictions and deletions where required by law or the contract.
6. AI assistants, agents and MCP
Ensure your assistant, agent or integration respects the same user, volume, purpose and redistribution limits as the underlying service. Apply appropriate permissions, review material outputs, protect credentials and prevent confidential or personal data being disclosed to an unauthorised third party. You are responsible for actions your authorised agents take.
Permission to retrieve information through MCP is not permission to train a model, publish a dataset or let another provider retain it for its own purposes. Obtain the relevant licence and legal permissions first.
7. Investigation and enforcement
We may investigate credible misuse, request proportionate information about licence compliance and suspend affected access under the contract. Any verification must protect confidential information and avoid unnecessary access to your systems or unrelated records. We may use legal or technical remedies proportionate to the breach. Report a concern through Contact us; privacy issues can use the privacy route.
